Our story

Built to make films that travel.

Ausind Global Media was founded in Melbourne in October 2025 by two shareholders who saw a gap: Indian language cinema was reaching global audiences through streaming and the diaspora, yet very little of it was made in Australia, a country with a large Indian community, exceptional locations and a mature screen industry.

We set up the group with a simple structure. Ausind Global Media is the parent company, responsible for financing, corporate services and strategy. Ausind Global Productions is our Australian production company, based in Melbourne. Ausind Media India, established in Kochi, India in 2026, carries the Indian phases of our productions and our distribution work in India.

Our first feature film, Great Ocean Road, is fully funded by our shareholders and is being produced across Victoria, Australia and Kochi, India through 2026 and 2027. It is the first of a planned slate of two to three films over the next five years.

Vision

To become a leading cross cultural film production company creating premium Indian language cinema from Australia and India for global audiences.

Mission

To produce high quality films that blend Indian storytelling with Australian production excellence, expanding the reach of multicultural cinema.

We bring key creatives from India for the authenticity an Indian language film needs, and we build everything else here: Australian supporting cast, Australian crews, Australian facilities.

Compliance note. The sentence about key creatives from India and everything else built in Australia is the public version of the net employment benefit argument and mirrors the director agreement clause 2.1. Keep it; it is true and it helps.

Development slate

What comes next.

Great Ocean Road is the first title in a slate of two to three films planned over the next five years, each pairing Indian language storytelling with Australian production. We are developing stories that speak to Indian audiences at home and abroad and that can only be told from here.

Compliance note. Keep this page modest. A slate page with vague promises reads worse than a short honest one. Never publish budgets or financing for future titles.
How we produce

Authentic on screen. Australian behind the camera.

An Indian language film needs the respective language speaking principal creatives: the director and the leading cast carry the language, the rhythm and the cultural truth of the story. Those roles, and a small number of crew whose work is tied to the language and culture of the film, come from India. Everything else, supporting cast, crews, equipment, locations, post production, we source in Australia wherever it is reasonably practicable, and we write that commitment into our production agreements.

We work to Australian industry standards and consult the relevant Australian guild or union on every imported role, including imported roles. Our cast and crew are engaged on proper written agreements, insured, and paid at or above Australian industry benchmarks, with superannuation on Australian work.

Our productions are fully funded by our shareholders, with no external borrowing. That lets us plan carefully, pay on time and keep our promises to the people we work with.

Compliance and approvals

Ausind Global Productions Pty Ltd is an approved Temporary Activities Sponsor with the Department of Home Affairs, which allows the Company to sponsor international cast and crew for Temporary Activity (subclass 408) visas in the Entertainment Activities stream. Before engaging any overseas cast or crew member, the Company consults the relevant Australian guild or union and engages every role, Australian or international, on written agreements at or above Australian industry rates, with superannuation and insurance. All supporting cast, crew, equipment and post-production for our Australian phases are sourced in Australia. Current approvals are listed on our News page.

Compliance note. Every sentence here is a claim the Company must be able to stand behind in a sponsorship assessment: benchmark pay, guild consultation, insurance, superannuation, local sourcing. Do not add "we hold visas" or any visa process language; the site never discusses immigration mechanics.
